funke and debo. traditional ceremony

i had the honor of photographing funke and debo’s nigerian traditional wedding (or engagement) ceremony a few months ago.  it took place at jesus house dc.  it’s always fun to shoot the “trad” ceremony.  you never know what to expect. both funke and debo have loving families and friends, and it was quite evident in the intimate ceremony that took place that night.

Cheryl Huston - This was a beautiful wedding. I am beginning to plan two weddings with my Nigerian husband, one in the United States and one in Nigeria. I want to be very traditional with both. I love the colors that they chose for this wedding. Thinking I might do the same.
